XB1 (Ikarie) magazine is a Czech magazine based in Prague, that focuses on the field of science fiction literature. The brief was to redesign the November 2020 issue. In collaboration with Designer Bella Kaminsky, we created a new look for the magazine, inspired by old Czech and Soviet sci-fi movies. Our typography was inspired by their larger-than-life 3D type from retro comics. The illustrations were created by fellow illustrators; Lucie Lučanská and Jantra Šímová.
